Smart home installation How a Domotica install actually goes.

Works when the wifi doesn't.

Six steps, and at each one you know who is in your house and why.

The steps

Who does what.

All 240V work is performed and certified by our licensed electrical partner.

In Sydney, the wiring is carried out by our licensed electrical partner. [TBC]

  1. Call

    Domotica

Fifteen minutes on your home, what you want it to do and a rough budget. No cost.

  2. Site survey

    Domotica

About two hours at your home. $300 inc GST, credited to your install.

  3. Quote

    Domotica

A fixed price for the whole job — products, electrician, setup and care. Valid for 30 days.

  4. Wiring

    Licensed electrical partner

The electrician fits the smart switches and blind motors, then issues the compliance certificate directly to you.

  5. Setup

    Domotica

We set up the hub, the network and every device, then build and test your scenes room by room.

  6. Handover

    Domotica

A two-hour session on how it all works, and the handover pack: device list, network map, backup and admin access.

The site survey

What we check before we quote.

  • Your switchboard, and whether it has room for what's planned
  • A neutral wire at each switch, and the depth of the wall boxes
  • Wi-Fi coverage in every room
  • Blinds, aircon and ceiling fans you already have
  • Solar inverter, battery and EV charger models
  • Where the hub goes

What runs where

On-site where it matters.

Press a switch and the signal goes to the hub in your home, not to a server overseas. Your phone and a few brand services connect out. Nothing else does.

Hard rules

What we never do.

  • Touch 240V. Domotica never touches 240V. The electrician never touches Home Assistant.
  • Open ports on your router.
  • Put lights or switches on a device that only works through the cloud.
  • Fit devices that haven't passed our own testing without telling you first.
  • Keep the keys. Admin access is yours at handover.
