Smart switches and blinds Choose the look.

The system behind the wall is the same whichever switch you choose. Pick the range that suits your walls and your budget.

Switches

Two ranges. Both Australian, both certified.

Mercator Ikuü smart switches [TBC]

Value

Mercator Ikuü

A clean, modern plate at a sensible price. Switches, dimmers and an AC fan controller, all from one range.

Two finishes: white and matt black.

Clipsal Iconic smart switches [TBC]

Premium

Clipsal Iconic

The familiar Australian switch. The plate clips off, so the finish can change without touching the wiring.

Iconic: vivid white, extra white, cool grey, warm grey, anthracite, extra black. Styl, in anodised aluminium: silver, silver shadow, crowne. Essence, in birch: arctic white, ash grey.

Around twice the price of Mercator per switch — roughly $70 to $80 more each, fitted.

Smart models only, bought from Australian wholesalers. The site survey confirms which switches suit each wall box.

Around the house

Everything else on the wall and ceiling.

Ceiling fans

AC ceiling fans get a smart fan-and-light controller, so they run on schedules and scenes. DC fans keep their own controller — the survey says which yours is.

Downlights

Dimmable LED downlights matched to the dimmer, so they dim smoothly without flicker.

Scene buttons

Battery buttons that stick to any wall or sit on a bedside table. No wiring.

Sensors

Small battery sensors for motion, doors, temperature and water leaks.

Blinds

Blinds, measured and fitted by our blinds partner.

Motorised roller blinds and curtains, measured, made and installed by our blinds partner, then set up by us so they move with your scenes.

Where your existing blinds can take a motor, we fit one. Where they can't, you'll see the replacement cost in the quote before you decide.

Every 240V product is certified for Australia.

All 240V work is performed and certified by our licensed electrical partner.

Questions

About the hardware.

Do I have to replace every switch in the house?

No. Only the circuits you want to control change. The rest of the house keeps its existing switches, and you can add more later.

Can I mix the two ranges?

Yes, though most people match the plates in each room. The system behind the wall is the same either way.

Will my existing light fittings work?

Usually. Dimming is the exception: some LED downlights and drivers dim badly, and the site survey checks yours before anything is quoted.

Will my ceiling fan work with it?

If it's an AC fan, yes — a smart fan-and-light controller replaces the wall plate. Mercator's Airnimate, Airventure, Caprice, Cardinia, Clare and Lonsdale AC fans all take one. DC fans use their own controller and keep it, so they run on their remote rather than on scenes.

What happens if a switch fails?

Inside the warranty period we handle the claim with the manufacturer and refit the replacement. Products, wiring and setup all go through Domotica, so there is one number to call.
